CTYL Makes A Difference In Our Community CTYL is a Redmond-based charity that aims to inspire and support children in need through a number of programs such as Holiday Shopping, which provides holiday gifts to children and families unable to provide their own; Fairy Godfather, Charity Through Youthful Living's grant program; and CTYL Volunteers, which gives CTYL supporters hands-on experience in the communities and with the children that CTYL serves. If you’re interested in supporting CTYL, either financially or by giving your time and skills, we’d love to hear from you! You can visit our donations page to offer financial help, check out upcoming opportunities to volunteer, or join us as a member! |

Holiday Shopping |
The holidays are a time of joy for most of us, and CTYL works to help spread that joy to children and families that need it most. And, in true CTYL fashion, we do it while having fun! We begin by working with local shelters and families to compile holiday wish lists. Then, each December, we get a crew of volunteers together for a glorious day of shopping, gift wrapping, and holiday spirit-sharing. Each gift is then given directly to the child or family from whose wish list it was purchased. Add a bit of ginger, and it's a recipe for Christmas success! |
| CTYL Volunteers | Through CTYL Volunteers, volunteers trek out into the community to provide hands-on help and support. Projects may involve anything from painting a school in need of a new and inspiring look, helping children and families plant a community garden, or working with a local family shelter to beautify the premises, making it more conducive to joy, happiness, and healthy growth. Not only does this program enable our volunteers to improve the communities in which children grow and live, but it also provides a valuable service to the volunteers by raising awareness about parts of our own communities we might not otherwise see. |
| Fairy Godfather |
Fairy Godfather is the name of the program through which CTYL provides one-time grants to both individuals and eligible 501(c)(3) organizations. The power and benefit of grants lie in their flexibility; where CTYL might be able to help one shelter by providing funds to acquire a van that takes shelter residents to after school sports, another grant might be put to equally productive use as tuition for a child's music lessons. The possibilities are endless! This program is supported solely by monetary donations made to the CTYL. More information about applying for grants is available here. |
