REDMOND, WA -- CTYL's Third Annual Holiday Shopping event, to be held in the evening of December 6, 2007, will be bigger than ever this year, with an anticipated 100 kids, teens, and their parents benefiting from over $5,000 in gifts. In years past, the Holiday Shopping Program has proven to be a huge success, and has only grown each year. In 2005, CTYL worked with Cocoon House in Everett to help over 30 teens living in their long-term shelter program, donating gifts worth over $2,000. The following year, in 2006, CTYL again teamed up with Cocoon House, this time providing gifts totaling over $3,000 for the more than 40 teens living in their long-term and temporary shelters over the holidays. This year will show not only an increase in the number of kids and teens participating, but also an expanded scope to reach out to additional local shelters. Retail partner opportunities are still open, and shelter partners have yet to be selected. Interested retailers should contact colm@ctyl.org for more information, while shelters interested in participating in this year's program can find more information and application criteria (including the September 30th application due date) on our Benefits Information page.
