The Thirteenth Annual Charity Through Youthful Living Memorial Day Weekend Camping Trip!!

• When: May 26-30, 2011
• Where: Sun Lakes, WA (Sun Lakes-Dry Falls State Park)
• What: a 5 day, 4 night group camping event
• Why: To have fun and raise funds for CTYL's programs!
• How Much: CTYL guests may attend for $30 each. If you register and pay before trip you can save $5.  The cost covers the campground fees for up to 4 nights. CTYL will handle the park reservations.  Kids under 18 are free when accompanied by an adult.

This is tent camping at it's best.. There will be about 30-50 people camping together as a group with camp fires, camp kitchens, camp dogs, and camp kids.

FAQs:

Do I have to attend all 4 nights? - No, you may attend for any or all of the scheduled days. The fee for guests is the same regardless of the length of stay.

Can I bring friends? - Yes, the more the merrier

How easy is it to get to the camp site? - Very easy!! This year we are camping at Sun Lakes-Dry Falls Campground which is a Washington State Park in Eastern Washington near Coulee City. Parking is only right by the tent area. Sun Lakes is approximately 3 and a half hours' drive from Seattle.

Can I bring my dog? - Yes, there are usually several dogs at the camp site. Please be advised that Washington State Parks require dogs to be on leashes at all times.

Can I bring a child? - Yes, this is a family friendly event. Please be advised that there will be alcohol consumption associated with the high percentage of adults and parents should make the decision to bring a child with that in mind.

What should I bring? - Everything you need for camping, this includes but is not limited to, a tent, clothes, sleeping bags, air mattresses, food, water, drinks, stoves, coolers, lanterns, flashlights, bug spray, etc. Many campers are willing to share their cooking equipment but it cannot be guaranteed. Can I bring an RV? - CTYL organizes tent style camping, however there may be RV spaces available at Sun Lakes Campground and the park ranger can also arrange for RV parking near the group site in some cases. Please contact the park ranger directly if you want to bring an RV to the CTYL event.

Can I bring a boat or jet ski? - Sun Lakes has ample opportunity for boat and jet ski use.  It is a boaters' haven. During Memorial Day weekend there will be lots of people in the area camping, boating, skiiing, etc. Sun Lakes has marina and boat launch facilities.  Boat rentals are also available in the park.

What kind of Amenities are available at the camp site? - Sun Lakes Campground has bathrooms and showers (showers require quarters) as well as a small store that sells food, water, ice and other supplies.
